[RL, open to everyone!] Haunted House

You are greeted by a vampire who holds a flashlight up to his face for "spooky" effect. Somewhere around is an egotistical robot dressed as a banana with a mustache. This is the one time of the year where any part of those two sentences will be considered sane even within the community.

"Welcome to the Command Crypt," Jin says in a low voice. "We hope you enjoy your stay--you won't be going back!"

Cue the prerequisite evil laughter as you walk through the halls of a really well-decorated hangar, all decked out with holograms.

Entrance

When you enter, you'll pass through a haunted castle, with holographic bats divebombing you--don't worry, they'll pass right through. But beware the vampire hologram chasing you!

Enter Azula, expert wet blanket.

"It's impressive special effects," she admits, talking to Jin as if he were dressed completely normally. "But I hope you're not expecting me to actually be scared."

"I'm twenty-one," she says, as if that's explanation enough. "But I was a little bit curious."

"I'm twenty-seven," he counters. Technically forty, but he's never going to admit to the technicality.

"How curious?"

Azula raises an eyebrow.

"Curious enough that I came."

"Curious you'll find something interesting?"

"I suppose so. The only haunted houses I've been to were ones that were suitable for six-year-olds."

The mad scientist's lab

The second room is right out of Frankenstein--a lab where a mad scientist is trying to find the perfect brain for his creature, although he wouldn't object to finding someone he can play matchmaker with for his creature either! Watch out for gelatin brains and holographic lightning, and don't get too close to the chains on the wall--they might try to grab you.

[Too bad nobody told Stanley about said chains. He's having one hell of a time trying to evade them. The lightning doesn't help either; he doesn't realize that they aren't real.

The jungle

You've got to run through a hallway now, leading upstairs, filled with exotic plants and the sounds of some kind of predator hunting you. There are actual venus flytraps around, but they won't bite--much!

Fall down the well

It looks like your chase leads to a dead end until you fall down a slide into what appears to be a well. A ghost girl reaches out for you--hope you can find the door out before she grabs you.

...so he's not really dead. Or scary. Or a true ghost. But his arrival here is pure coincidence, surely.

[Kendrix is having a blast, but watching Kirby phase through?]

Hey, that's cheating!

[It's not cheating if you're the ghost! ...that was the general idea.

Ghost Kirby dives into the wall, then emerges from the floor behind Kendrix.]

Yeah, been there, done that.

[Was that a smile? That was a smile!

Ghost Kirby flops out his tongue and waggles it about like he saw many ghosts do before.]

[He keeps making those sounds as he suddenly about-faces and peels off into a passageway. Does he know the way out? There's only one way to find out!]

Oh, that's it. You're asking for it!

[CHASE! Through the haunted house!]

[And CHASE they shall! This part of the house is now more lively (hah!) than any other at the moment!

That is, until Ghost Kirby stumbles upon a DEAD END (hoho!), and the aforementioned ghost girl seems to be blocking the way out.]

HOOHACKACKEH

[It doesn't matter if Kirby was trying to scare Kendrix or the ghost girl, it really wasn't as impressive as it sounded in text.]

[From the reaction (or lack thereof) from either the ghost girl or Kendrix, it is likely that the latter is correct!

Ghost Kirby shall attempt a different tactic: playing a poltergeist positively by picking up ceramics, cutlery, and other implements of comestible consumption and wave them wobbly about like a weary woozy warehouse worker.

With the requisite scary sounds.

Though, if Kendrix looks about, she may spot something unusual that Ghost Kirby unwittingly uncovered, something that may enable escape...]

Exit

The final room is a far more modern horror story--a technological wasteland, with robots and cyborgs attacking. Maybe some of the holograms here look like a couple of Jin and J's enemies, but it's purely a coincidence, we assure you.

But this time, Jin's given you a fighting chance--it's a laser tag room, and if you can manage to defeat the holographic robots, the room will shut down and open the door out for you.

Outside

You make it out to the break room, where there are snacks waiting. Sure, maybe some of them are a little grotesque, like more jello brains and some cold noodles that look a bit too much like worms for comfort, and maybe some grapes that look like eyeballs, but it's all fun and games, right?

No, really. Right. He's scared the pants off you long enough.
